Rhythm Kids^® (RK)  is the next musical step for your child (ages 5-8)  Each week we drum, sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, and begin to play music-based games. Rhythm Kids^® Level 1 guides children toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative, as they:

Each class we drum, sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, and begin to play music-based games. Rhythm Kids^® will help guide children toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative, as they:

• make up their own drumming patterns

• invent new ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, sticks, etc.)

• create movement ideas for songs

• even take a drum solo!

  Rhythm Kids^® (RK) includes:

• 10-45-minute In-Person classes at our EHT location.

• Animal Collection Songbook, access code for digital downloads (CD available upon request for no additional charge.)

• Access to online drum-play videos and other material

  Your child will:

• Explore the world of rhythm through movement, instrument play, and song

• Develop basic rhythm skills, like keeping beat, improvising, ensemble play, and soloing

• Learn to create, cooperate, and express themselves musically

  Rhythm Kids^® Families are encouraged to purchase their own drum to be used in both class and at home.  This is available at the time of registration. Families who are not purchasing a drum will still have to rent one from Andrea for a fee. The rental option can also be found at the time of checkout on the registration form.  Rentals for the session are $75 with a refund of $25 when the drum is returned intact at the end of the session.  All other instruments and items used in the RK class will be supplied by Andrea. 

Families will register for an individual class at the location of their choice. Child development researchers have long considered mixed age groupings to be beneficial, and the Music Together^® program is designed with this in mind. Classes are structured in a "Family Style" learning where activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child interaction, so children of different ages (siblings, for example) can enjoy classes together!

-A Once-a-week class for 10 weeks at the registered location of your choice.

-A beautiful color-illustrated songbook, with access to digital downloads.  (CD's available by request at no additional charge.)
